The Celestron Advanced VX 6" Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope is a computerized German equatorial mount telescope designed for both visual observation and astroimaging. Featuring a 6-inch (150mm) f/10 optical tube with StarBright XLT coatings and a parabolic primary mirror, it delivers sharp, high-contrast images with improved light transmission and minimal aberration. The mount supports up to 30 pounds and includes GoTo tracking, SkyAlign alignment, All-Star Polar Alignment, and permanently programmable periodic error correction. It comes with a NexStar+ hand control, dual saddle plate compatibility for CG-5 and CGE-style dovetails, and ports for autoguiders and accessories. The compact design offers stability and portability, making it suitable for dark sky sites. Included software features Celestron PWI and a free download of Starry Night Special Edition.
