Mystery Island Pirates is a tile-based board game by Outset that features a dynamic sea adventure where players race from Pirate's Cove to Treasure Island. Each game session unfolds differently as players lay the path using 40 durable island tiles made of linen paper and bright colors. Players roll a wooden die, move their ship tokens across the tiles, and follow actions such as advancing with lucky parrots or retreating due to crocodiles and ghost ships. The objective is to reach Treasure Island while holding the wooden treasure chest token, though another player can steal it. The game includes two modes: the introductory 'Buccaneer Bounce' and the more challenging 'Treasure Chase', making it suitable for 2 to 6 players aged 5 and up.
