Power Grid: Australia/India Recharged is a board game expansion by Rio Grande Games that introduces two new regional maps—Australia and the Indian Subcontinent—each with unique mechanics and challenges. The Australia map features disconnected power networks, requiring players to pay higher connection costs to link cities across regions. It also adds uranium as a tradable resource, allowing players to mine and sell it without using it for energy production. The Indian Subcontinent map presents a restrictive resource market where rapid expansion can trigger power outages. Garbage-powered plants in India require an extra fuel source (manure) and operate at low efficiency, increasing strategic complexity. This expansion works only with the original Power Grid game (2004) and maintains core rules while adding region-specific gameplay elements.
