The Escali DH8 is a dual-function digital thermometer designed for home and outdoor cooking. It combines infrared surface temperature measurement with internal probe reading in a single handheld device. The infrared mode allows non-contact temperature checks of grill grates, pizza stones, or food surfaces, while the probe mode measures internal temperatures with a drop-down probe that delivers readings in as little as four seconds. A bright backlit display shows large numbers clearly in any lighting, and an audible alert signals when the target temperature is reached. The unit features a 5-to-1 distance-to-target ratio, hold function, min/max tracking, and auto-off to conserve battery life. It requires two AAA batteries, which are included.
