Aegean Sea is a strategic card game by Asmadi Games where players lead one of five ancient civilizations—Sparta, Athens, Crete, Ephesus, or Rhodes—through the Aegean Sea. Each player controls a unique deck of 44 island cards, using them to perform actions and trigger special effects. Points are scored primarily through accumulating Goods on your Home Island, with bonuses based on quantity squared. Unique Customs for each civilization add asymmetric gameplay, influencing both scoring and strategy. Cards can represent people, ships, temples, or actions depending on placement, requiring careful management of the deck as it serves as the game’s timer. The game ends immediately when a player draws from an empty deck. Designed for 2–5 players, it lasts approximately 20 minutes per player and offers accessible rules with deep strategic layers that grow with each play.
