The Metabones Nikon G to Nikon Z-Mount Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x Adapter is a precision optical accessory designed to enhance the performance of Nikon Z-mount cameras when using Nikon F-mount lenses. It features a 5-element/4-group optical design with high-index tantalum-based glass, improving corner sharpness and reducing distortion and vignetting. The 0.71x magnification factor reduces the crop factor for APS-C sensors, widening the field of view and increasing effective aperture—transforming a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens into a 17-50mm f/2.0 equivalent. This adapter supports manual aperture control and works with Nikkor G and F lenses, including non-AI and AI models, but does not support autofocus or image stabilization. Constructed from aluminum alloy and brass, it offers durable, secure mounting. It is not compatible with DX lenses, third-party APS-C lenses, or certain Nikkor lenses with electronic diaphragm control.
