Does Nordstrom Rack price match or adjust prices?

No. Nordstrom Rack's FAQ says that at Rack stores and nordstromrack.com "we do not price match or make adjustments, as our prices change often to ensure the best possible value, every day." That rules out refunds for later markdowns and matches with Nordstrom, Amazon or anyone else. The only route to a lower price is to return within 40 days and buy again.

Will Nordstrom match a lower Nordstrom Rack price?

No. Nordstrom adjusts only its own markdowns on full-price items, within 10 days of the in-store purchase or shipment date, and its 2026 pricing policy says it does not price match other retailers. A lower Rack price on the same jacket isn't a Nordstrom markdown. To pay the Rack price, buy at the Rack and return the Nordstrom item (Nordstrom has no set return time limit). What does "Comparable Value" mean at Nordstrom Rack?

Comparable Value is the Rack's reference price. The Rack's FAQ says it is "based on what the item, or similar item, was originally offered for by Nordstrom or elsewhere in the market, which may have been reported to us by the manufacturer." Three details matter: the price can come from Nordstrom or from anywhere else in the market, it may belong to a similar item rather than the one on the tag, and the figure may come from the manufacturer rather than from a store's actual price. The FAQ gives no worked example.

Is the Rack actually cheaper than Nordstrom for the same item?

Neither store matches the other's price, and prices at both change over time, so compare the two on the day you buy. Item-by-item comparison: Nordstrom vs Nordstrom Rack (coming).

What if the price drops after I buy?

You won't get an adjustment, but you can return the item within 40 days and buy it again at the lower price, unless it's a Clear the Rack item; the usual return conditions apply.

Are Clear the Rack purchases final sale?

Yes. The Rack says all items bought as part of the Clear the Rack promotion "are final sale and cannot be exchanged or returned." Bought something before Clear the Rack and now it's cheaper? The Rack won't adjust the price, but your original purchase is still returnable within 40 days, so you can return it and rebuy at the event price. The new purchase is final, so be sure of size and fit.

Can I return Rack items to a Nordstrom store?

Yes. The Rack's FAQ says online and store purchases can be returned to a Nordstrom Rack or Nordstrom store, and that all returns are subject to the Rack's return terms, so a Rack item returned at Nordstrom still follows the Rack's 40 days (or the holiday deadline), unworn, with receipt and tags. What happens if the Rack's price was a mistake?

The Rack cancels the order for that item. Its FAQ says: "If an item's price is higher than the price displayed, we will cancel your order of that item and notify you of the cancellation." The lower price isn't honored. If a Rack price looks far too low, expect a cancellation notice, not a shipment.

How to get the lower price anyway

  1. Check the return window. You have 40 days from the order date (online) or purchase date (store), or until Jan 18, 2027 for Oct 5 – Dec 24, 2026 purchases if that's later. Clear the Rack items don't qualify.
  2. Return the original, unworn, with the receipt and tags; beauty products and car seats must be unopened.
  3. Rebuy at the current price. If your size is selling out, place the new order first.

Does Nordstrom Rack price match Amazon? No. The Rack doesn't price match any retailer, Amazon included, in stores or online.

Will a Rack store honor the NordstromRack.com price? Don't count on it. The Rack's FAQ says it doesn't price match or adjust prices, in stores or online.

Can I get a price adjustment on a Black Friday purchase at the Rack? No, there are no adjustments at any time of year. A Black Friday or Cyber Monday purchase falls in the Oct 5 – Dec 24 holiday period, so you have until Jan 18, 2027 to return it and rebuy, unless it's a Clear the Rack item.

Can I exchange a Clear the Rack item for another size? No. Clear the Rack items are final sale, with no returns or exchanges.

Can I return beauty products to Nordstrom Rack? Yes, within 40 days, as long as they're unopened, and only in a store, not by mail. Car seats must also come back in the original, unopened box.

What do I need to return an item to Nordstrom Rack? The item must be unworn, with the receipt and tags, and returned within 40 days of the order or purchase date.

Is Comparable Value the Nordstrom price? Not necessarily.
